- December 6, 2013: Dogecoin is launched as a joke cryptocurrency based on a popular meme.
- March 25, 2014: Dogecoin sponsors NASCAR driver Josh Wise, bringing significant attention to the cryptocurrency.
- January 7, 2018: Dogecoin reaches $0.01 for the first time, marking a significant milestone.
- Various Dates: Several forks of Dogecoin are created, including Dogethereum and Dogecoin Dark.
- January 2014: The Dogecoin community raises $30,000 worth of Dogecoin to send the Jamaican bobsled team to the Winter Olympics.
- March 2014: Dogecoin community raises funds to build a well in the Tana River basin in Kenya.
- June 2014: Dogecoin community sponsors NASCAR driver Josh Wise for a second time, raising over $55,000.
